Ethics
Billiter is a privately owned independent business and we pride ourselves on providing impartial information and advice to our clients which is independent of any political or commercial pressures. We routinely handle sensitive commercial information which is at all times handled in a manner to preserve the highest level of confidentiality. When undertaking due diligence and investigations in international markets, it is essential to comply with all national laws relating to privacy and the collection and dissemination of data and personal information. In the past, due diligence and investigation providers have been found to have broken local laws or to have used information collection and research methods which breached anti-corruption legislation or local privacy laws. It is our objective to help our clients comply with anti-corruption laws, not break them. Our Analysts never pay or seek to influence public officials to obtain information.
We believe in operating a principled business which operates to the highest ethical and legal standards. Every member of the Billiter team is provided with training and required to fully observe the law in each jurisdiction in which they operate. Unlike many of our competitors Billiter does not provide security services to any governments or have dealings with government officials which may compromise our independence or present a corruption risk. Where necessary, our investigations and due diligence reports are overseen by a locally qualified lawyer.
